CPUC HOLDS PUBLIC HEARINGS ON
AT&T'S PROPOSED ACQUISITION OF T-MOBILE
SAN FRANCISCO, July 13, 2011 -- The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) today announced that it will hold additional Public Participation Hearings regarding AT&T's proposed acquisition of T-Mobile.
The public hearings are as follows:
· July 21, 2011 at 4:00 p.m.
Four Points by Sheraton Culver City - Marina B, 5990 Green Valley Cir., Culver City
· July 25, 2011 at 6:00 p.m.
Al Bahr Shriners Center, 5440 Kearny Mesa Rd., San Diego
· July 27, 2011 at 6:00 p.m.
Holiday Inn - Fresno Airport, Kings Canyon/Sequoia Room, 5090 East Clinton Way, Fresno
Public Participation Hearings are scheduled to provide the public an opportunity to comment on this case. Comments from the public can help the CPUC reach an informed decision, and consumers are encouraged to attend. Written comments may be submitted to: CPUC Public Advisor, 505 Van Ness Ave., Room 2103, San Francisco, CA 94102 or via email to public.advisor@cpuc.ca.gov.
The CPUC has previously announced public hearings and workshops regarding AT&T's proposed acquisition of T-Mobile. The following workshops are upcoming:
Public Workshops
· July 15, 2011, 9:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Locatelli Center at Santa Clara University,
500 El Camino Real, Santa Clara
TOPIC: Innovation issues, including (but not limited to) handsets, distributed antenna systems, broadband, and data transfer.
· July 22, 2011, 9:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
California Department of Transportation Building, Conference Room A
100 S. Main St., Los Angeles
TOPIC: Customer issues, including (but not limited to) price, service quality, customer service, coverage and coverage disclosures, other consumer disclosures - with small/individual, small business, and large enterprise representatives.
The agendas for the workshops will be available at www.cpuc.ca.gov/merger.
While a quorum of Commissioners and/or their staff may attend the Public Participation Hearings and workshops, no official action will be taken.
