CPUC MOVES CLOSER TO RENEWABLE ENERGY GOAL
WITH APPROVAL OF PG&E CONTRACT
SAN FRANCISCO, April 10, 2008 - The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) today approved a new wind contract for Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) that contributes to the statewide target of utilities obtaining 20 percent of their power from renewable sources by 2010.

Solano County, California |
Through its agreement with Shiloh II, which is being developed by enXco, PG&E will accept deliveries equal to approximately 500 gigawatt hours (GWh) of energy per year. The facility will be located in the rich wind resource region of Solano County, California.
The State's Renewables Portfolio Standard Program requires Investor-Owned Utilities, Energy Service Providers, and Community Choice Aggregators operating in California to obtain 20 percent of their retail sales from renewable energy sources by 2010.
