Description:
On October 25, 2007 Bradly Torgan, General Counsel for the California Department of Parks and Recreation (State Parks) had a telephone conversation with Traci Bone, advisor to Cmmr. Grueneich in San Francisco. Torgan conveyed State Parks' concerns with the feasibility of an alternative route for Segment 8A of Southern California Edison Company's Tehachapi Renewable Transmission Project (project) proposed by the City of Chino Hills. Torgan explained that the alternative would establish State Parks as an additional trustee agency and result in two additional responsible agencies for the project, State Parks and the California State Park and Recreation Commission (Commission). State Parks would be a responsible agency because the alternative would require additional easements. The Commission would be a responsible agency because the alternative would require amendments to the Chino Hills State Park General Plan.

Also present were Mark Hensley of the law firm, Jenkins & Hogin, LLP, City Attorney; Dariush Shirmohammadi, outside technical consultant for Chino Hills; and Michael B. Day and Jeanne B. Armstrong of the law firm, Goodin, MacBride, Squeri, Day & Lamprey, LLP, outside counsel for Chino Hills. Written materials (attached to the notice) were used. Day explained that Chino Hills has grave concerns regarding Southern California Edison Company's (SCE) proposed route for Segment 8A of its Tehachapi Renewable Transmission Project.
