On April 7, 2005, Michael Hoover, Director of Regulatory Affairs of Southern California Edison Company (SCE), met with Julie Fitch, advisor to Pres. Peevey, at SCE's offices in San Francisco. Also present was Aaron Johnson, advisor to Cmmr. Grueneich. Hoover provided an update on SCE's strategy for Advanced Metering Infrastructure and the proposal SCE recently submitted to develop an `advanced integrated meter' (AIM) which will significantly improve SCE¿s business case analysis. Hoover described SCE's request for approval to initiate the AIM development project.
