SUMMARY: On November 8, 2007, Keith Switzer, Vice-President of Golden State Water Company (GSWC) met with Andrew Schwartz, advisor to Pres. Peevey in San Francisco. Also present were Tracey Drabant, Energy Resource Manager of Bear Valley Electric Service (BVES), Rod Larson, consultant to BVES, and David Morse, consultant to BVES. Written material (attached to the notice) were used. BVES addressed the value of tradable renewable energy credits in helping small load serving entities to achieve compliance. BVES described its unique situation, its options, and its strategy for pursuing the renewable energy program. BVES noted that the company has a $77/Mwhr cap in its Purchase Power Adjustment Clause. BVES representatives stated the company will need authorization from the Commission to modify the cap if renewable resources contracts have prices in excess of this cap. Contact Person: Denise E.
