WORKSHOP NOTICE
TO: ALL PARTIES IN APPLICATION 00-11-038 ET AL.
On Monday, April 16th, the Commission's Energy Division will hold a workshop to provide interested parties the opportunity to discuss the rate design proposals served in this proceeding on Friday, April 13, 2001 . A workshop agenda is attached to this notice.
The workshop will be held in Hearing Room A at 505 Van Ness Avenue, San Francisco, and will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 16th. Questions about the workshop may be addressed to Steve Roscow of the Energy Division (415-703-1189; e-mail: scr@cpuc.ca.gov ).

Agenda
1. Housekeeping
a. Introductions and Ground Rules
b. Goals of this workshop: exchange information and agree to procedures that will allow for the most efficient use of hearing time and the most comprehensive evidentiary record.
2. Agenda Items
We will spend 5-10 minutes discussing each of items a. through d., and use the remainder of the time until 2:00 discussing item e. (it may be possible to resume the workshop Monday afternoon following the Prehearing Conference taking place at 2:00)
a. Potential stipulations: Identify and discuss items where parties could stipulate to certain facts about their proposals in order to reduce cross-examination time.
b. Comparison Exhibit: Discuss and assign responsibility for the preparation of a Comparison Exhibit summarizing parties' proposals, to be submitted at the close on hearings.
c. Sample Bills: Discuss the merits of creating a template to allow calculation of representative bills for each customer class.
d. Rate Tables: Discuss the level of detail required in rate tables that will be attached to the final Commission decision in this proceeding, and what rate design models are needed to produce these tables.
e. Presentation and Discussion of Rate Design Proposals: We will budget the remaining time available in order to allow all parties to have equal time to present and discuss their proposals.
