On June 3, 2004, Evelyn Kahl, counsel to Sunrise Power Company (Sunrise), met with Julie Fitch, advisor to Pres. Peevey, in San Francisco. Kahl discussed the status of the Commission's review of Pacific Gas and Electric Company's (PG&E) request to grant an easement to Sunrise to perform work in the Midway substation. Kahl noted that without the easement available power deliveries to the grid could be curtailed as much as 250 MW. Kahl encouraged the Commission to expedite review of PG&E's request and grant approval.
