On June 20, 2007, Joseph M. Karp, of Winston & Strawn, L.L.P., counsel for Alisal Water Corporation d.b.a. Alco Water Service (Alco Water), met with Laura L. Krannawitter, advisor to Cmmr. Bohn in San Francisco. Also present was Thomas R. Adcock, vice president of Alco Water. Written materials (attached to the notice) were used. Alco Water representatives explained that the application of California Water Service Company (CalWater) should not be granted because it seeks to encroach upon Alco Water's service area, which goes against long-standing Commission precedent. Alco Water representatives also stated that the Commission should not consolidate proceeding I.07-06-020 because doing so would permit CalWater to compete for service territory certified by Alco Water.
