Energy Division Advice Letter Disposition Change
As of June 25, 2007, the Energy Division of the CPUC will send utilities notices of the disposition of Advice Letters by electronic means rather than by hard copy in the regular mail, and will no longer be returning hard copies of approved tariff pages to the utilities. San Diego Office Closes
The Commission's San Diego Office will be closing permanently effective June 22, 2007 and will no longer be able to accept hand-delivered filings. Documents may be filed electronically on the Commission's website at http://www.cpuc.ca.gov/static/efiling.htm. In the event that you wish to file your document in hard copy, rather than electronically, documents should be taken directly to the Commission's lobby or mailed to the Commission's Docket Office in San Francisco, 505 Van Ness Avenue, San Francisco, California 94102. Only hand-delivered documents will be accepted by the Los Angeles office, 320 West 4th Street, Suite 500, Los Angeles, California.
Starting May 24, 2004, the Central Files Office will be open for business from 8 a.m. to 12 noon only.
To purchase Commission documents, there is a charge of 20 cents a printed page (postage prepaid) with a minimum purchase of $2.00.
The auditorium, hearing rooms, and training room at the headquarters of the California Public Utilities Commission, located at 505 Van Ness Avenue, San Francisco, California, are available for rent. The purpose of this workshop is to go over the Convergence Bidding proposals of the IOUs and other parties as submitted on August 16, 2010. The workshop is intended to build on the technical presentation of the California Independent System Operator's Convergence Bidding (also know as Virtual Bidding) tariff changes, as part of the 2010 Long Term Procurement Plan proceeding, R.10-05-006. The presentation will include discussions of each IOU's proposal for Virtual Bidding plans as well as those of any other party who wishes to submit a plan for discussion.

The workshop on CAISO and PG&E Renewable Integration Model Methodologies in the above-entitled matter will be conducted by Energy Division staff. The purpose of the workshop is to familiarize stakeholders with, and request comment on, the methodologies used by the CAISO 33% Renewables Operational Study and PG&E's renewable integration analysis models. In the coming months, one or both of these models may facilitate the development of integration performance needs for specific resource portfolios by the CPUC and the stakeholders in the Long-Term Procurement Planning (LTPP) proceeding. The ALJ Division has prepared Resolution ALJ-255 for the September 2, 2010, Commission Meeting. This draft resolution grants extension of confidential treatment of information in Application 07-04-004 and closes the proceeding.
Pursuant to Pub. Util. Code §§ 454.5(g) and 583, the Commission may grant requests to file all or part of a document under seal, or to seal all or part of an evidentiary record, to protect the sealed information from public disclosure. In the interest of balancing the policy goals of public disclosure, full participation and transparency with the statutory provisions allowing and indeed requiring confidential treatment of information in limited circumstances, the Commission may grant requests for confidential treatment for discrete periods of time, rather than in perpetuity. Under those circumstances, a party may request, by motion, an extension of the time granted in a ruling for confidential treatment of information. Any comments should be directed to ALJ Seaneen M. The Energy Division has prepared Draft Resolution E-4347 for the September 2, 2010 Commission Meeting. This Resolution approves cost recovery for two long-term renewable energy power purchase agreements, one between Southern California Edison Company (SCE) and Desert Sunlight LLC and the other one is between SCE and Desert Stateline LLC. These power purchase agreements are approved without modification. Notice of this draft has been sent to parties in the service lists. This Resolution approves an amendment to a long-term renewable energy power purchase agreement between Pacific Gas and Electric Company and FPL Energy Montezuma Wind, LLC. The Energy Division has prepared Draft Resolution E-4356 for the September 2, 2010 Commission Meeting. This Resolution approves Pacific Gas and Electric Company's (PG&E) request for approval of cost recovery for a power purchase agreement (PPA) resulting from PG&E's 2007 Renewables Portfolio Standard (RPS) solicitation between PG&E and Alpine Suntower, LLC, pursuant to California's RPS program. The Consumer Protection and Safety Division has prepared Resolution SX-97 for the September 2, 2010, Commission Meeting. This resolution recommends to the California Transportation Commission for increasing funding under the California Public Utilities Code section 1231.1 to an amount of $3,850,000 to be set aside in fiscal year 2011-12 for maintaining automatic grade crossing protection devices. The Communications Division has prepared Resolution T-17290 for the September 2, 2010 Commission Meeting. This Resolution recommends approval of the California Teleconnect Fund (CTF) budget of $75.207 million, which includes an increased community college budget cap from $8.093 million to $8.299 million, for fiscal year 2011-12.
