Order Instituting Rulemaking on the Commission's Own Motion to Adopt New Safety and Reliability Regulations for Natural Gas Transmission and Distribution Pipelines and Related Ratemaking Mechanisms.
A public participation hearing will be held before a quorum of the Commissioners of the California Public Utilities Commission to hear public testimony related to gas pipeline safety and the Commissioner's regulation of natural gas transmission and distribution pipelines.
Parties desiring expedited or daily transcripts should advise the Chief Hearing Reporter by telephone at (415) 703-2288, no later than three days prior to the first day of hearing.

Pursuant to the Order Instituting Rulemaking issued on December 16, 2010, the CPUC staff will host a workshop to discuss parties' views regarding the opportunities for development and deployment of energy storage technologies, the obstacles to such development and deployment, the costs and benefits of such development and deployment, and how these costs and benefits should be distributed. Administrative Law Judge Amy C. Yip-Kikugawa will facilitate the workshop. An agenda will be made available before the workshop is held.

The Communications Division has prepared draft Resolution T-17302 for the March 10, 2011, Commission Meeting. The Resolution would approve Verizon California Inc. Advice Letter #12535, with conditions. The Advice Letter proposes to discontinue automatic delivery of printed residential white pages telephone directories to customers. The ALJ Division has prepared Resolution ALJ-267 for the March 24, 2011 Commission Meeting. This resolution adopts Intervenor Rates for 2011 and addresses related matters. This resolution does not adopt a Cost-of-Living Adjustment (COLA) for work performed by intervenors in calendar year 2011 and addresses other related matters.
