The goal of this symposium is to provide a practical understanding of in-line inspection technology (also know as smart pigs), how they work, the science behind in-line inspection tools, what information in-line inspections can provide, how the information derived from in-line inspection compares to information derived from hydrostatic testing, and to learn about the implementation challenges to make a gas pipeline system "piggable". Commissioners from the California Public Utilities Commission may attend and participate in the symposium. While a quorum of the CPUC may attend the symposium, no action will be taken. A detailed agenda will be emailed to the service list of R.11-02-019 and posted on the Commission's website by June 21. This meeting will be video webcast in real time and archived thereafter at

NOTICE OF RESOLUTION CORRECTING INTERNAL INCONSISTENCIES AND OTHER ERRORS IN RESOLUTION L-411
The Legal Division has issued for comment Draft Resolution L-411A to correct internal inconsistencies and other errors in Resolution L-411 approved at the Commission's April 14, 2011 business meeting. Resolution L-411 established a memorandum account for Pacific Gas and Electric Company and all other non-exempted cost-of-service energy and Class A and B water and sewer utilities that will not be addressing the Tax Relief, Unemployment Insurance Reauthorization, and Job Creation Act of 2010 in a 2011 or 2012 test year general rate case.
On May 19, 2011, the draft resolution was mailed to the attached service list, pursuant to California Public Utilities Code § 311(g) and Rule 14.2(c)(2) of the Commission's Rules of Practice and Procedure. Interested person may submit comments no later than June 8, 2011.
Comments are limited to discussing whether the changes made in Resolution L-411A correctly resolve the internal inconsistencies, correct other errors and clarify the Ordering Paragraphs of the original resolution, consistent with the Commission's intent in approving Resolution L-411. Comments may also address any other errors or inconsistencies that should be, but have not been, addressed in this Draft Resolution L-411A. Comments should not reargue issues resolved in Resolution L-411, and comments that do so will not be addressed.

The Communications Division has prepared Resolution T-17261 for the June 23, 2011 Commission Meeting. This Resolution addresses a Verizon California, Inc. request to deviate from PU Code Section 320 requiring undergrounding along Scenic Highway 1 in Santa Barbara County. This Resolution imposes a penalty of $5,000 for violating Section 320 and a requirement to underground facilities at Mile Marker 17.65. NOTICE OF RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PUBLIC DISCLOSURE OF INVESTIGATION RECORDS

NOTICE OF RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PUBLIC DISCLOSURE OF INVESTIGATION RECORDS
Resolution L-418 authorizes disclosure of records concerning the California Public Utilities Commission Consumer Protection and Safety Division's investigation of an August 18, 2010, electric incident which occurred at 12201 Christy Lane, Los Alamitos, California, once the investigation is complete.
On June 13, 2011, the draft resolution was mailed to the service list, pursuant to California Public Utilities Code § 311(g) and Rule 14.2(c)(2) of the Commission's Rules of Practice and Procedure. Comments shall be served no later than July 5, 2011, and reply comments shall be served no later than July 8, 2011.
Resolution L-418 will be on the agenda at the July 14, 2011 Commission meeting. The Commission may then vote on this draft resolution, or it may postpone a vote.

The Energy Division has prepared Draft Resolution E-4412 for the July 14, 2011 Commission Meeting. This Resolution approves with modification the cost recovery of a one-year amendment to the price and performance obligations of an existing QF contract between POPI and PG&E and grants PG&E the option to extend the amendment an additional year. However, this Resolution does not grant PG&E's request to extend the contract term to reflect the duration of the amendment. Notice of this draft has been sent to parties in the service lists.
