OPINION DENYING REQUEST FOR AREA CODE OVERLAY
AND ORDERING AREA CODE SPLIT FOR THE 760 AREA CODE

1. Summary

This decision maintains the Commission's previous determination that a geographically-based area code split is appropriate for the 760 area code and orders a geographic split, with the northern section retaining the 760 area code. The southern section, near San Diego, is assigned the new area code of 442.
