CPUC CONSIDERS ADDING ITEM TO OCT. 14 MEETING
SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 8, 2010 -- The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) today said it will consider adding the following item to the public session Agenda under Commissioner Reports for its Oct. 14, 2010, voting meeting:
San Bruno Pipeline Explosion- Independent Review Panel
Pursuant to Resolution L-403 adopted by the CPUC on Sep. 23, 2010, vote to confirm members of the Independent Review Panel selected by CPUC President.
This notice is issued pursuant to Government Code Section 11125.3(a)(2), which empowers the CPUC to add late items to its public agenda: where "there exists a need to take immediate action and [] the need for immediate action came to the attention of the state body subsequent to the agenda being posted..."
The need for this item to be acted on by the CPUC did not become apparent until after the agenda for the Oct. 14th voting meeting was mailed.
