PUC TO HOLD HEARINGS ON EDISON REQUEST
TO INCREASE REVENUE
The California Public Utilities Commission (PUC) has scheduled Public Participation Hearings throughout Southern California to receive public input on Southern California Edison's request to increase revenue by $286 million next year, bringing their revenue requirement for operating expenses to $3.065 billion (this does not include the revenue the utility needs to purchase fuel to generate electricity or to purchase electricity from outside sources).
Edison's usage rates will remain the same, but the utility has asked to increase certain customer service fees. For example, a return check fee would increase $2 from the current $9 fee, and the charge to establish service would increase $7 from the current $10 fee.
