The California Energy Commission's (CEC) 2009 Integrated Energy Policy Report (IEPR) Committee, in conjunction with representatives of the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) and the California Independent System Operator (CAISO), will conduct a workshop to present the joint energy agency proposal on implementation of once-through cooling (OTC) mitigation through energy infrastructure planning and procurement. This proposal was submitted to the State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) for their use in developing a policy to mitigate harm from OTC.
