Public Workshop - Energy Efficiency Evaluation, Measurement, and Verification (EM&V) Structure

This notice provides an update to the workshop originally scheduled for June 14 (calendared on June 1) and postponed to June 29, and adds a second day.
The purpose of these workshops is to review and provide comments to CPUC/CEC Joint Staff on the proposed evaluation model options, draft performance basis, and final EM&V transition report.
Joint staff will distribute materials for this workshop to the R01-08-028 service list and will post documents on www.cpuc.ca.gov/ee (click "Energy Efficiency Rulemaking" on the right hand pane) prior to the workshops (approximately June 22).
This workshop is recommended for evaluation professionals, utility evaluation and measurement staff, portfolio planners, and program managers.

Summary: On June 22, 2005, Lad Lorenz, Vice President of Regulatory Affairs for Southern California Gas Company (SoCalGas) and San Diego Gas & Electric Company (SDG&E), met with Brian Prusnek, advisor to Cmmr. Kennedy, in San Francisco. Also present were Julie Fitch, advisor to Cmmr. Peevey, Theresa Cho, advisor to Cmmr. Grueneich, two representatives of the Energy Division, and Marzia Zafar, CPUC Relations Manager, Patti Wagner, Director of Customer Programs, and Athena Besa, Energy Efficiency Administration and Policy Manager, for SoCalGas/SDG&E. Written materials (attached to the notice) were used. Wagner discussed the goals for each application and highlighted some of the programs that SoCalGas/SDG&E have established to ensure that the goals set by the Commission are achieved.
