Background
CalAm is a California corporation and one of the Western Region companies of American Water Works Company, Inc., its corporate parent. CalAm provides public utility water service in various areas in San Diego, Los Angeles, Ventura and Monterey counties. This general rate proceeding involves only its Monterey Division.1
