DECISION GRANTING CERTIFICATE OF PUBLIC CONVENIENCE
AND NECESSITY FOR CPV SENTINEL 220KV TRANSMISSION LINE

1. Summary

Pursuant to Pub. Util. Code §§ 1001 et seq. and General Order 131-D, this decision grants the request of Southern California Edison Company for a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity for the construction of a new 2,300-foot long 220 kilovolt single-circuit transmission line that will connect the CPV Sentinel Energy Project, a proposed 850-megawatt natural gas-fired generating facility, owned and operated by CPV Sentinel, LLC, to the California Independent System Operator-controlled grid at Southern California Edison Company's existing Devers Substation. The facility is anticipated to cost $10.5 million in nominal dollars. All costs will be borne by the owner of the power plant, i.e., CPV Sentinel, LLC, and will have no impact on ratepayers.
