8. Reduction of Comment Period

This is an uncontested matter in which the decision grants the relief requested. In such case, the comment period may be shortened or waived (§ 311(g)(2) and Rule 14.6(c) of the Commission's Rules of Practice and Procedure). We shorten the comment period so that comments must be filed by June 21, 2011, and waive reply comments. Comments were filed on June 21, 2011 by BVES.³⁶ BVES supports the proposed decision and recommends its adoption.

³⁶ LACSD filed a motion to become a party on June 20, 2011, the day before comments were due. For the reasons stated in the June 22, 2011, Administrative Law Judge's Ruling Denying Request for Party Status, LACSD is not a party to this proceeding. Therefore, comments served by LACSD cannot be filed, are not part of the record of this proceeding, and are not addressed in this decision.
