OPINION GRANTING APPROVAL UNDER PUBLIC UTILITIES
CODE SECTION 853(b) FOR LEASES OF UTILITY PROPERTY
AND ORDER TO SHOW CAUSE
Summary
We grant the request of Pacific Gas & Electric Company (PG&E) for a limited exemption from the requirements of Public Utilities Code Section 8511 for the lease of space at three substations for the installation of electric generation units. We also give notice to PG&E that we will consider sanctions against PG&E for its possible violation of California law and Commission authorities.
