On October 18, 2000, PG&E filed Application (A.) 00-10-029 for authority under §§ 701.5(a) and 816 - 830 to issue $2 billion of additional long-term debt for the following purposes: (1) to finance a large undercollection in PG&E's TRA3; (2) for any purpose listed in § 817; and (3) for general corporate purposes. PG&E also requests authority under § 701 to enter into interest-rate swaps, caps, and collars. In addition, PG&E requests certain exemptions from (1) the Commission's Competitive Bidding Rules, and (2) General Order 24-B.
Notice of A.00-10-029 appeared in the Commission's Daily Calendar on October 23, 2000. There were no protests or responses A.00-10-029.
3 A.00-10-029 comes on the heels of A.00-09-020 wherein PG&E requested authority to issue $1.4 billion of short-term debt to finance the TRA undercollection. The Commission granted A.00-09-020 in Decision (D.) 00-10-065.
