Public Meeting

A public meeting for the project was noticed and held on Monday, June 28, 2004, at the Westchester Municipal Building. Newspaper notices, including information on the Draft EIR, the project website address, and the date and time of the public meeting, were printed in the Argonaut on June 17 and 24, 2004, and in the Daily Breeze and the LA Times on June 15 and 24, 2004. The purpose of the public meeting was so that the public could learn about the Draft EIR and the status of the project and to ask questions prior to the conclusion of the Draft EIR comment period. Approximately 40 people attended including representatives from the Grassroots Coalition, Wetlands Action Network, Sierra Club, Spirit of the Sage Council and SoCalGas.
