O P I N I O N
City of Los Angeles Harbor Department (Harbor Department) requests authority to construct a grade-separated overcrossing of Ocean Boulevard through City of Long Beach right-of-way and an at-grade crossing of Reeves Avenue through City of Long Beach and City of Los Angeles right-of-way, both located near the center of Terminal Island over the proposed single lead track owned by Harbor Department in Cities of Long Beach and Los Angeles, Los Angeles County. The Burlington Northern and Santa Fe Railway Company (BNSF) and Union Pacific Railroad Company (UP) are anticipated to operate trains at the sites of the proposed crossings. Pacific Harbor Lines (PHL) provides railroad switching, dispatching and maintenance services within the vicinity of the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach.
