PUBLIC UTILITIES CODE SECTION 709.2(C) INQUIRY

Summary

This decision concludes the California Public Utilities Commission's (Commission or CPUC) Public Utilities Code Section 709.2(c) inquiry. We establish some additional safeguards, and make the remaining three determinations under Section 709.2(c). We also authorize Pacific Bell (Pacific) to provide intrastate interexchange telecommunications services upon receiving full authorization from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) pursuant to Section 271 of the Telecommunications Act of 1996 (Section 271).
