Commissioner Presence at Hearings and Closing Arguments

Any party that requests Commissioner presence at specific hearings should make a written request complying with the requirements set forth in Rule 8(c), ensuring that the request is received not less than five business days prior to the beginning of evidentiary hearings. Closing arguments will be held at the conclusion of the evidentiary hearing. Any party that desires final oral argument before a quorum of the Commission, as allowed by Pub. Util. Code § 1701.3(d), should make a written request no later than five days after the ALJ's Proposed Decision is issued.
