O P I N I O N
Pending the outcome of an investigation by Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) and the Office of Ratepayer Advocates (ORA) into whether Materials and Supplies (M&S) inventory balances have been overstated by PG&E, and pending further order of the Commission with respect to this issue, the company's authorized gas and electric revenue requirements are made subject to reduction effective today. Similarly, gas rates associated with PG&E's authorized gas revenue requirement are made subject to refund.1
1 PG&E's electric rates are currently frozen, and there is no direct association between its authorized electric revenue requirement and its current electric rates.
