AB 1299 expanded the
California Advanced Services Fund (CASF) to add a fourth account dedicated to
broadband access and adoption in public housing. AB 1299 provides $20 million
for grants and loans to a publicly supported community, as defined in the
statute, to finance a project to connect a broadband network to that publicly
supported community. The bill also provides $5 million for adoption programs.
On January 17, 2014, President Michael Peevey, the Assigned Commissioner,
released a scoping memo soliciting comments on 39 questions involved with
implementing AB 1299. One may view the comments the Commission received at the

As part of the process of implementing AB 1299 Communications Division staff
will hold the workshops to discuss these comments and other issues related to

This Draft Resolution approves the Transition Power Purchase Agreement between SDG&E and CP Kelco U.S., Inc., pursuant to the terms of the Qualifying Facility and Combined Heat and Power Program Settlement Agreement. The Energy Division has prepared a Draft Resolution G-3494 for the March 13, 2014 Commission Meeting. This Draft Resolution addresses Pacific Gas and Electric Company’s (Advice Letter 3442-G) request for approval from the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) authorizing PG&E under Public Utilities (PU) Code § 851 to relocate 500 feet of natural gas transmission pipeline and quitclaim this 500 feet section of easement to Samsung Semiconductor, Inc. later than March 3, 2014, and reply comments shall be served no later than

The Communications Division has prepared Resolution T-17438 for the March 13, 2014 Commission Meeting. This Resolution sets the annual fee for the fiscal year 2013-2014 to be paid by each video franchise holder. This fee will generate revenue equal to the Commission’s authorized budget for implementation of AB 2987, the Digital Infrastructure and Video Competition Act.
